4 Best Beach Locations For An Affordable Low Budget Wedding

State Beaches Around Half Moon Bay CA – Affordable Low Budget Wedding Locations

The San Mateo Coastside has many beach location for recreation, but there are four beaches that are best suited for a small wedding ceremony. For a couple or a wedding planner, these locations are certainly ones to consider for a low budget, more affordable wedding location.

Let’s travel down the Coastside, starting just south of Pacifica at Montara Beach.

Traveling south on Highway 1, just north of Half Moon Bay you find Roosevelt Beach

Just south of Half Moon Bay, on the way to the Ritz-Carlton on Miramontes Pt. Road, there is a parking lot that begins the access to a short walk to Pelican Point Beach.

7 miles further on Highway 1 from Half Moon Bay is San Gregorio Beach; there are several bluff top locations and you can also walk down to the beach for a feet-in-the-sand ceremony location.

At Weddings By The Sea we have used all of these beach locations for our Destination Wedding Package, and I’ve officiated where the couple or a wedding planner has obtained the Permit themselves and planned out the rest of the wedding for groups of up to 50 people.

For those who want to move up the scale of cost for a wedding location, there are many fine venues on the San Mateo County Coastside. Here are a number of them.

Obtaining California Marriage License

Ease  Of Obtaining A California Marriage License

Getting a Marriage License in California for a ceremony in San Francisco, Half Moon Bay or any  location in California is as simple as filling out the paperwork in any County Clerk’s Office in California. A license is valid for use in any other county in California.

If you are coming out of the State of California you can be married in California, it’s not necessary to establish residence.  All you need to do is bring a valid photo ID for each of you to receive the marriage license. You will bring that license to your ceremony for the officiant to fill in and a witness to validate.

The two of you need to arrive a minimum of a day before your ceremony to get your license; in some counties you can make an appointment, otherwise just show up. It’s a good idea to check with their office though to be sure they are open for the day you plan to get your license.

Your license is valid for 90 days after you obtain it.  The officiant will mail it in after the ceremony and you can obtain a certified copy once the County Clerk’s Office has received it and

If you’re in the San Francisco Bay Area, here is a list of some of the County Clerk’s offices in the area.

Here Comes The Guide – Online and Print Wedding Resources

Written by Terry Plank on . Posted in Online Wedding Resources

Here Comes The Guide is one of the premier online and print wedding industry wedding resource directories for California, Chicago, and DC vendors and services.

But, it isn’t just a matter of paying money to be included in the directory. I had to pass through an extensive review process before being accepted. Certified by The Guide explains that “…each vendor has to submit 30-40 references, including wedding industry professionals and at least 15 recent brides…” I know for sure that they contact each person and get their honest feedback so only companies with a rave review are accepted.

Not only are Locations and Services provided with extensive photos and explanatory content, there are hundreds of articles on helpful topics relating to a wedding. They even have a Job Board for wedding and special events market in Northern and Southern California where one can post a job opening or find a job. There is also a very helpful Bookstore with books in 4 categories of interest, including their own Northern California Book.

For you wedding professionals interested in becoming a Here Comes The Guide resource, your acceptance gets you into both their Web and Printed Book. I receive more referrals from their Website than any other website source apart from my Google search engine keyword findability.

The newest Northern California Book printing is due for release January 2011. It can be found in bookstores, in Amazon, and can be ordered from their website.

Spend time on their site at Here Comes The Guide and see why I value this site.
